The Concept of Strengthening International Law through Film

ILI is proud to have co-hosted the launch of the new Geneva-based association "Promotion of International Law Through Film" (www.filmforlaw.org) drawing from an audience attending the 62nd Human Rights Council on 1st July 2026.

Firmly anchored in Central Asia, ILI, with an office in Geneva, traditionally focuses its operations on free legal aid and protecting civic space, applying Human Rights advocacy from the beneficiaries all the way to governmental and even international levels.

ILI has been employing the concept of Film-for-Law in our own advocacy work with partners and beneficiaries. Documentary filmmaking can efficiently give voice to beneficiaries while at the same time getting them heard.
